Service Provider

TruePrice is operated by Mateusz Wyszogrodzki, a private individual residing at ul. Doroszewskiego 9/54, 93-140 Łódź, Poland. Contact: [email protected]. References in these Terms to "we", "us" and "TruePrice" mean the service provider.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using TruePrice, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

2. Description of Service

TruePrice is a mobile application that helps travellers understand fair local prices for common purchases across countries. The app provides price comparisons, scam alerts, travel tips, and an AI-powered price-checking feature.

TruePrice is available in two tiers: a free tier (with ads) and paid tiers (Supporter and Pro) that remove ads and unlock additional features.

3. Account

To access certain features (favourites sync, AI Price Check, Pro tier) you need to sign in with Apple. You are responsible for keeping your Apple ID secure and for all activity that occurs under your account. Please notify us immediately at [email protected] if you suspect unauthorised access.

4. Subscriptions and Payments

TruePrice offers the following paid options, all processed through Apple's App Store:

Supporter — a one-time purchase. Removes all ads permanently. No recurring charge.
Pro Monthly — monthly subscription. Removes ads and includes 40 AI Price Check queries per month. Renews automatically each month.
Pro Yearly — yearly subscription. Same benefits as Pro Monthly. Renews automatically each year.

Current pricing is shown in the App Store and varies by country under Apple's regional pricing. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. Pro subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.

To manage or cancel your subscription, go to iOS Settings → [Your Name] → Subscriptions and select TruePrice.

5. Free Trial

TruePrice does not currently offer a free trial for paid tiers. All features of the free tier are available without payment.

6. Refunds

All purchases are processed by Apple. Refund requests are handled by Apple in accordance with their refund policy. To request a refund, visit reportaproblem.apple.com. We are unable to issue refunds directly.

7. EU Consumer Right of Withdrawal

If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, you normally have a statutory 14-day right to withdraw from digital content purchases. However, by initiating a subscription or one-time purchase on the App Store and confirming the purchase, you expressly consent to the immediate provision of the digital content and acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal, in accordance with Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU (Consumer Rights Directive) and Article 38(13) of the Polish Consumer Rights Act (ustawa o prawach konsumenta z dnia 30 maja 2014 r.).

This waiver does not limit your rights under Apple's refund policy (see Section 6).

8. AI Price Check Feature

The AI Price Check feature is available to Pro subscribers. When you submit a query, your question is forwarded to a third-party AI provider (OpenRouter, powered by Google Gemini) for processing.

AI-generated responses are estimates only and do not constitute financial, legal, or professional advice. Results may be inaccurate, outdated, or not applicable to your specific situation. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on AI output. TruePrice is not liable for any losses arising from reliance on AI-generated content.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

Use the app for any unlawful purpose
Access the app through automated means (bots, scrapers, scripts)
Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the app
Abuse the AI feature (e.g., attempting to circumvent query limits, submitting harmful content)
Interfere with or disrupt our servers or infrastructure

10. Account Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from within the app via Settings → Delete Account. Deleting your account removes your personal data from our servers in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Account deletion does not automatically cancel any active subscriptions. You must cancel your Pro subscription separately through iOS Settings before deleting your account to avoid further charges.

11. Termination by Us

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you materially breach these Terms, use the service unlawfully, or abuse paid features. Where reasonably possible we will notify you by email and give a reasonable opportunity to remedy. Active subscriptions terminated due to breach are not refundable outside Apple's policies.

12. Intellectual Property

All content, design, trademarks, code, and data within TruePrice are the property of the service provider and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from the app's content without prior written permission.

13. Price Data Disclaimer

All price data provided by TruePrice is for informational purposes only. Prices shown are approximate ranges based on research and may not reflect current local conditions. TruePrice does not guarantee that the prices you encounter will match those shown in the app. We are not responsible for financial losses arising from reliance on price data.

14. Limitation of Liability

TruePrice is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, TruePrice and its creators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from your use of or inability to use the app, including but not limited to losses resulting from reliance on price data or AI-generated content. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have as a consumer that cannot be waived under mandatory law.

15. Modifications to the Service

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We may also update these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of Poland, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Disputes shall be submitted to the courts competent for the seat of the service provider in Poland, except that consumers retain the right to bring proceedings before the court competent for their place of residence under Regulation (EU) 1215/2012.

EU consumers may also use the online dispute resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr, as required by Regulation (EU) 524/2013.
