TrueRun Privacy Policy

Summary

TrueRun is a running-analytics app that runs entirely on your device. It does not have user accounts, does not use servers, and does not collect, transmit, sell, or share any personal data. There is no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind.

Apple Health (HealthKit) data

With your explicit permission, TrueRun reads workout and health data from Apple Health (HealthKit), including: running workouts, route and GPS data, heart rate, VO₂ max, resting heart rate, cadence, and running-form metrics.

• Read-only. TrueRun never writes to, modifies, or deletes any data in Apple Health.
• On-device only. All Health data read by TrueRun is processed and stored solely on your device. It is never uploaded to us or to any third party. We have no servers and no ability to access it.
• Your permission controls access. You grant HealthKit access during setup and can review or revoke it at any time in the iOS Settings app under Privacy & Security → Health → TrueRun. Apple requires your consent before TrueRun can read any category of data.
• We do not use Health data for advertising, marketing, or data-mining. TrueRun shows no ads and contains no advertising or analytics SDKs.
• Health data read by TrueRun is used only to display your own analytics, trends, records, and summaries inside the app, on your device, for you.

No accounts, no collection, no tracking

TrueRun has no sign-in and no user accounts. We do not collect your name, email, device identifiers, location, or usage data. We do not use cookies, analytics, crash reporting, advertising identifiers, or any third-party tracking or SDKs. No data leaves your device through TrueRun.

Exporting your data

TrueRun lets you optionally export your own data as a JSON file. This export is generated on your device and is shared only if and where you choose to send it (for example via the iOS share sheet). We never receive a copy, and we have no control over any destination you select. Once you share the file, its handling is governed by the app or service you send it to.

Purchases

TrueRun is a one-time purchase through the Apple App Store. Payment is handled entirely by Apple under Apple's terms and privacy policy; TrueRun does not receive or store your payment details. There are no subscriptions or in-app purchases.

Children's privacy

TrueRun does not knowingly collect any data from anyone, including children. Because the app collects no data at all, it presents no special risk to children's privacy.

Your rights

Because TrueRun stores all data locally on your device and we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export, or delete on our side. You remain in full control: deleting the app removes TrueRun's on-device data, and you can revoke Health access at any time in iOS Settings. Where the GDPR applies, you retain all your statutory rights; contact us at the address above with any request.

Changes to this policy

If TrueRun's data practices ever change, we will update this policy and revise the "Last updated" date above before the change takes effect.
